Liberty and Anthropologie

Had a super day with Alex in London!

I wanted to show you a couple of things we spotted which have jumped to the top of my knitting queue….

Here you can see an iridescent, sparkly, unbelievably soft, sleek and fluffy (at the same time) scarf.

This genius creation uses one skein Rowan lace in pink, one skein Kidsilk stripe, and three skeins of the new Anchor metallic yarn.

The evil temptresses of yarn at Liberty devised this to torment me, I have the stripe yarn, you could choose this as your Rowan subscription free gift this year. Do I need another scarf now when I have several in progress right now?

Hmm, yes!

Also we decided this seasons must have knit is a crisp white lace cardigan.

I totally agree. Here is our inspiration from Anthropologie today:

I need some more wool. Lol.

Vintage Tyrolean

Hello all!

Today I wanted to share another selection of pictures with you as a “look book”, this time it’s my vintage Tyrolean collection.

I find these items really appealing, and really inspiring.

A lot of what I make is based on what I imagine would be in the homes of these Tyrolean people, who are always holding hands, and dancing, or going out in a carriage drawn by horses.

Becoming Inspired!

Here is a Look Book of things I’ve been coveting today, which may or may not end up becoming realised into being…

The bag and the striped knitted jumper are both from Anthropologie, which I hopelessly adore, the catalogue just came.

The other goodies are from a book, “Granny Square Crochet” by Catherine Hirst. Nice work! Can you see the Woozle on the bedspread? I think the one in the picture is a boy. You can tell by his face.

I could order my work if I didn’t suddenly have to make something else entirely that I’ve just spotted!
